A collection of illustration work across digital and traditional media. These are both prompted work and original practice. My roots are in traditional mediums - my favourites are oil paint, charcoal, watercolour paint and graphite - but I have been honing my digital art skills.
Here you'll find an assortment of both :]
This was my first large-scale oil painting - it measures 20"x24". It took about two weeks to complete, with a few re-dos of the face. I used a sheet of cotton paper with two coats of primer.
This is a prompted exploration of digital collage. The goal was to represent myself, and include the first letter of my name. This was an image that had been swimming around in my mind for ages waiting to be expressed - created in turn to depict [the uglier] thoughts that fester.
A digital sketch of one of my favourite musical artists - Danny Kiranos, the face of Amigo the Devil. The image is based on their song Stronger Than Dead, an anthem of resilience, focusing on persevering through mental and emotional struggle.
